Basic Packing Tips

Packing is one of the most essential and important factors that affect your move. Packing is where you put things together and prepare them for transport to your new home. So it simply follows that improper packing will increase the risks of damaging or ruining your things during transport, completely defeating the concept of transporting your stuff with you in the first place - you might be better off selling them or just leaving them behind.   One way to pack well is always ensure that your things are properly packed together. Do not put light and fragile things at the bottom - make sure that the things at the bottom of the box can withstand other things being piled on them. Also make sure that they have the proper packing materials to support and cushion them, especially when it comes to your fragile items. Use materials such as bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or even crumpled newspapers to help offset the bumps and jolts of transport.   Always remember to label your boxes and packages properly. Fragile things especially should be labeled as such, and the right side up should always be indicated clearly. Labels will help you organize your boxes better when you start unpacking in your new home.
